Turkey is in Group A with Portugal, Switzerland and Czech Republic in the Euro 2008, European Soccer Championship finals which will take place in Switzerland and Austria in June. Despite several injured players, the Turkish national soccer team will go to the Euro-2008 in Switzerland "to remind Europe and the World how Turkey plays soccer", turkish coach Fatih Terim told AFP during a training camp in Antalya (southern Turkey), referring to the eviction of the Turks from Euro-2004 and 2006 World Cup. Among the injured players were defenders Servet Cetin (Galatasaray), Gökhan Gönül (Fenerbahçe) and Gökhan Zan (Besiktas), midfielder Hamit Altintop (Bayern Munich/GER).
