Pohang de Corea del Sur gana Liga de Campeones de Asia

TOKIO (AP) - El Pohang Steelers de Corea del Sur ganó el sábado el título de la Liga de Campeones de Asia al superar 2-1 al Al Ittihad de Arabia Saudita.

El equipo surcoreano consiguió su tercer título continental y obtuvo el boleto al mundial de clubes que se disputará del 9 al 19 de diciembre en Abu Dhabi.

No Byung Jung anotó con un tiro libre al principio del complemento y Kim Hyung Il marcó de cabeza 10 minutos después para darle el triunfo a Pohang. Al Ittihad, que también buscaba su tercera corona asiática, descontó con una diana de Mohammed Noor.

Pohang debutará en los cuartos de final del mundial de clubes.

Barcelona (Europa), Estudiantes (Sudamérica), Atlante (CONCACAF), Auckland City (Oceanía) y Al Ahli (anfitrión) ya están clasificados al torneo.
